Breathing Space
Breathing Space (formally the Debt Respite Scheme) is a UK government scheme that gives people in problem debt a period of protection from creditor enforcement, allowing them time to engage with debt advice. A standard Breathing Space lasts 60 days; a mental health crisis Breathing Space lasts longer.
